Listing the tools I use and own for this recipe below:

Prep Time: 20 Minutes

INGREDIENTS

Yields 12, 2 ounce shots

  • 7 medium sized lemons
  • 3 inch piece of Ginger
  • 2 – 3 tbsps honey
  • 600 ml water
  • 1.5 tsp of Turmeric or 8 capsules – optional

METHOD

  1. Add 600 ml of water to blender.
  2. Half and juice lemons straight into blender. Be careful not to allow seeds into the blender. If this happens, simply scoop out with a spoon.
  3. Cut 3 inch piece of ginger and skin. Add more or less ginger to taste. I like to skin the ginger prior to adding to the blender as this produces less pulp and is easier to strain after blending.
  4. Add 2 – 3 tablespoons of honey.
  5. Add turmeric to blender. If adding capsules, break the capsules and add the powder to the blender. If adding turmeric powder, be sure to add pepper to activate the turmeric.
  6. Blend for 45 seconds to 1 minute.
  7. After blending, strain through a find mesh strainer or cheese cloth to remove ginger pulp.
  8. Fill 2 ounce shot bottles. Refrigerate. Keeps for up to 1 week in fridge.
