It’s no secret that I love photos, so when a friend asked if I’d like to do a mother daughter photoshoot the answer was simple.

Long before Georgia arrived in our lives you could often find me with my DSLR camera in hand, happily snapping away at friends and family no matter what the occasion. This love and passion has remained, however since Georgia’s arrival I’ve longed for more mother daughter photos. I’m fortunate in this regard as I have many friends and family that are happy to oblige my requests of taking photos of us together.

At the end of March, Georgia and I visited Mint Room Studios in Toronto with our dear friend and photographer, Bradly Lyn, to have this Easter Shoot. The setup was a whimsical Easter Playground for children with a beautiful mint coloured balloon donned with garlands of colourful Easter Eggs and pure white bunnies.  Although the setup was quite small for the size of the room, the pictures turned out more wonderful than I could have imagined. We made use of the rest of the room by changing outfits and capturing moments in the other setups. I plan to save those photos to share closer to Mother’s Day. Although, knowing me, there certainly is a chance I could return to another studio for more photos before then!

I know I’ll cherish these photos for years to come as I remember what a wonderful day we had together while Georgia happily played with Easter Eggs and explored this magical setup. There is also something so special about seeing bare baby feet in photos, wouldn’t you agree? I love taking pictures, being in photos, editing, and most importantly the memories that come along with them. I always have and probably always will have a love affair with photography. Such special memories are made while taking pictures. And, as the years pass they act as a reminder of what once was. I hope the photos you see here act as an inspiration for your own mother daughter or family photoshoot. For more photoshoot ideas click here.
