Toddler Must Haves
With a very busy little girl who is on the brink of taking her first steps, I have somehow managed to round up a list of the very best toddler must haves. There are endless amounts of these lists and recommendations available. With that in mind I’ve decided to keep this list sweet and to the point. Here you will find a toddler must haves list for 1 year olds. Below are the items we are currently using and absolutely love!
Baby Bjorn Play Yard Lite // This play yard is safe, simple to set up and convenient for travel. I keep this set up in our living room during the day, it’s perfect for Georgia to play in when we’re busy. The colours offered are simple and tasteful. This play yard also doubles as a safe travel crib which was what sold us! Best of all, it folds up easily and fits into the accompanying carry bag to make travel easy.
LITTLE Bot Ofie Play Mat // Even though Georgia is crawling all over now, she seems to know that the play mat is her area. It’s soft on her hands and knees and wipes down easily. We love this play mat because it’s safe and non-toxic, and the beautiful design blends well with our home decor.
Stokke Tripp Trapp High Chair // We purchased this high chair when our paediatrician recommended we begin Georgia on solids. It is beautifully built, has grown with her and easy to clean. The harness, extended gliders and tray snap onto the high chair so easily which make changing and cleaning the cushion a breeze.
Guzzie + Guss Perch Hanging Chair // This hanging high chair is our pick for when we’re on the go. It’s lightweight and comes with carry bag. We bring this with us when we’re eating out at restaurants or visiting friends or family. You can never be completely sure of how clean restaurant highchairs are, and with this I know that the only baby using it is ours.
See Kai Run First Walkers // As I mentioned earlier, it’s a very exciting time for us since Georgia is so close to taking her first steps! She has been cruising around our living room carefully moving from one piece of furniture to the next. These See Kai Run Sneakers sit on a wide, flat base to help promote balance for those first steps. The brand has also received the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) seal of approval. While they may be expensive, I rest easy knowing that she’s in a proper shoe to help her in taking those first independent steps.
Joe Fresh 500 Mini Elastics // Seeing Georgia with pig tails for the very first time is something I will never forget. I’ve found that these mini elastics work so well for lifting her hair away from her face. These elastics also come in a variety of colours to match her outfits. After doing her hair I usually like to add little clips as the finishing touch. You can find them in the hair aisle at your local Shoppers Drug Mart or at the link above.
Land Rover Discovery Ride on Car // This extravagant toy was a gift from Papa to our Georgia girl. She adores riding in her Land Rover Discovery. Not only does it have a horn, but it also has working headlights, an FM radio and a USB plug in case mom needs to charge her phone! It’s also safe with a 3-point harness, and remote to control speed and direction.
Mushie Stacking Cups // These cups have been such a hit with Georgia. She loves to stack them, have snacks out of them and play with them during bath time. We even leave an extra set at Grandma’s house so she’s never without them.
That wraps up the Toddler Must haves list for 1 year olds! I’d love to know some of the items on your toddler must haves list, if you’re a toddler mom comment below to share.
