Passion Tea Lemonade: Starbucks Dupe

Reading Time: 2 minutes

At this point, I’m pretty sure everyone has heard of a Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade. It’s the quintessential basic bitches summer drink. It also costs a tiny fortune for iced tea mixed with lemonade, and I’m a bit tired of paying the price to get my fix. It’s taken a few weeks of tinkering, I’ve tried my best to recreate this perfect tangy yet sweet refreshing summer drink and now I’ve finally found the perfect recipe. What’s even better is that there are a couple of variations to this recipe so you can do what works best for you!

This recipe has 3 ingredients, water, tea and lemonade. Let’s talk about Tazo Tea for a moment. Tazo Passion Tea is available as tea bags or also as a concentrated mixture, both work just fine for this recipe. For the wondering minds, I found the concentrated mixture at Costco, but was unable to find a link on their website! If you visit Costco you should be able to find the concentrate in the Tea/Coffee aisle. The quickest way to make this recipe is with the concentrate.

Since I was looking for a fast way to recreate this at home I also opted for lemonade liquid water enhancers. I’ve tried both Stur Lovely Lemonade as well as President’s Choice Lemonade and both make for a perfect Starbucks dupe. Other options you can try at home would be a couple tablespoons of a frozen lemonade concentrate, or if you’re looking for something extra delicious you can also try my homemade Earl Grey & Rosemary Lemonade Simple Syrup. Whichever option you choose, start with a little and add more to adjust to taste. Find the full recipe below and enjoy!

METHOD

  1. If using tea bags, pour boiled water over tea bags and let steep for 5 minutes. Then let chill in the fridge for 15 minutes to cool.

  2. In a pitcher, pour equal parts Tazo Passion Tea and water over ice, or steeped tea over ice.

  3. Add lemonade liquid water enhancer (I use two squeezes), stir and enjoy.
